Hello fellow readers! I hope that you are doing well! I was thinking about what blog I should do next, and my husband suggested some kind of quarantine tag. I searched it on google and found a video by Taylor Talks Tales on YouTube. The questions are really cool, and I think tags are a great way to recommend books, so I'm excited.

Question 1: What are your current quarantine bookish plans?

Currently I am participating in the O.W.L.S read-a-thon hosted by Book Roast on YouTube. I'm enjoying the books I've read so far! Check out my wrap up at the end of the month to see how it went! I just finished reading Lover Eternal by J.R.Ward. It is the second book in the series, and I really enjoyed it! I want to just binge read the rest of the series!! I am also reading Beach Read by Emily Henry. I am highly anticipating that book being a really great read!

Question 2: What was your last acquired book or bookish item before lock down?

Before the lock down began I bought a bunch of books from Mr. K's:

Goddess of the Hunt by Tessa Dare

Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren

The Siren by Tiffany Reisz

The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkins

A Girl Like That by Tanaz Bhathena

Stinger Mia Sheridan

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch

The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter

Question 3: Name your favorite fictional book with a virus or spreadable infection.

I actually do not have an answer for a favorite book like this. I usually stay away from books that have virus' or infections. However, I recently read a book that would fit this questions, I am Legend by Richard Matheson. I gave it 2 stars. It is not the book for me, but I know that it is a really beloved book for some.

Question 4: List your top 5 books on your TBR during quarantine.

1. Beach Read by Emily Henry (Adult Contemporary)

2. The Siren by Tiffany Reisz (Roamance/ Erotica)

3. Flamecaster by Cinda Williams Chima (Young Adult Fantasy)

4. The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter (Thriller)

5. On the Island by Trace Garvis Graves (Romance)

Question 5: If you ran out of books to read during quarantine, what book would you
reread first?

I have actually been thinking about rereading the Vampire Academy series. My husband just read the first book for the O.W.L.S read-a-thon and really liked it. I absolutely love this series, so I think that would be my pick! I have a lot of nostalgic feelings towards this series, and I know it gets some grief, but it is one of my favorite series of all time.

Question 6: Name an underappreciated book that you hope becomes “viral” in the BookTube community someday.

I really like The Demon King/ Seven Realms series. This is a young adult series by Cinda Williams Chima. I finished the series last year, and was very surprised by how much I liked it. The series follows a thief and a princess in this fantastical world as they come of age, and watch their country fall into war between wizards and clans people. This series is written very well. The first thing element that really drew me in was how atmospheric is, without being over written. Sometimes in fantasy books, the atmosphere, and world building is great, but is a little exhausting to read. This is not that book, it is a joy to read and learn about, and in my opinion every book gets better and better! This is another favorite series of mine!

Question 7: If you ended up getting sick, what book or books would be your comfort read(s)?

My comfort reads will always be the Harry Potter series. I absolutely love the audio books read by Jim Dale. I feel like this is an obvious answer, so I will give another answer. I recently started reading a Tessa Dare's series. I fell in love withe the two books I read first, The Dutchess Deal and The Governess Game. These books have great characters, romantic plots, and I had such a fun time reading them. Even though I read them recently, I still think that I would be comforted by the lightheartedness of them! I am really excited to read the next book The Wallflower Wager.

Okay! That was the tag, I had a lot of fun going down memory lane with some of my favorite books! I am the type of person that wants to read fun, light books during uncertain/ scary times. I know some people like to lean into the the epidemic/pandemic nature we are in, but not me. I want to be distracted, and entertained. If you want anymore recommendations, you can check out some of my other tags. I recently completed a couple of Historical Romance books, and really enjoyed them. You can check that blog out here.

Let me know what you are reading, and enjoying in the comments below, I would love to chat! I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Happy Reading!
